Meteoblue simulated climate data

Hi list,

searching for some climate data I came across Meteoblue's simulated
climate diagrams, and I'm wondering how accurate and how useful they are
- since they are simulated, they don't exactly need a weather station
around - so we could find climate information for locations far from the
next settlement. As everyone knows his/her home climate best, I had a
look at Göppingen:

https://meteoblue.com/en/weather/…

And I must say, it's pretty good - mean temperature is easy, of course,
though both "hot Days" and "cold nights" only depict "normal extremes",
but not the freak occurrences - for Göppingen, cold nights are listed as
-8C, while we had -14°C this year (which had an unusual cold January)
and something around -20°C as all time low - with severe damage to even
local flora. Likewise, our "new" summers tend to reach 36°C rather than
the 31°C predicted. Still - if all the locations show about this
deviation they'd be extremely helpful, e.g. i'd expect species from the
Bankberg
(https://meteoblue.com/en/weather/…)
may do well in my climate.

Would be nice if some members could evaluate the data for their home
locations to get a clear picture of this.
