Fred, I have grown this hybrid for many years in my standard bulb mix -- 25% sand + 25% crushed granite + 50% Promix (a Canadian peat-based mix). It seems hard to kill, if you ask me. If yours does not thrive, get in touch with me privately. It's great, offsets profusely, and looks great as a pot full of bulbs when they bloom.
