Two years ago I got seeds from PBS BX 343 for Manfreda sileri (thanks, Monica!) but I didn't get around to sowing them until last weekend. I planted 6, and today I found 2 have germinated. WOW!!! That's impressive! They haven't broken all the way through the surface yet, so I think they just sprouted a few hours ago. I hope the rest are soon to follow. In other news, I have one seed pod developing on my M. virginica from pollen from my M. maculosa. I applied pollen on at least 10 of the flowers, but only 1 took. AT LAST I've joined the ranks of you that are dabbling in Manfreda/Polianthes/Procnyanthes hybridizing. :-) Dennis in Cincinnati
