Crinum x powellii grows, blooms and winters without a hitch all over Ireland which is arguably one of the coldest wettest drizzliest places you could imagine. But maybe it's exceptional amongst the crinum clan? There are several species established as big clumps at the National Botanic Gardens, in Glasnevin (Dublin), although I don't recall which.
