I've got lots of zip lock bags with germinating seeds now, too.But when I checked these this afternoon, I got a real surprise. Early this morning i added water to a bag with seeds of Zephyranthes minuta /verecunda from BX 343 (August 2013). When I checked the seeds this afternoon, several has tiny white somethings - root tips I hope - projecting from the seeds. I've known dead seeds to do something similar when moistened - the swelling of the endosperm material pushes out a dead embryo. But I'm hoping for a happier result this time. The seeds in question had been stored dry in the refrigerator since receipt a year and a half ago.
