Leo & Tim....... Mario is probably contemplating what kind of group he's
joined after that little outburst.

I'm sure his making an effort to introduce him self, didn't justify a
lecture on legalizing pot to say the least...

In regard to Lees interesting Question,

"I'm sure Mario's reasons would be far more enlightening than our own
opinions, but some possibilities might be, perhaps France has different
rules to America for a start, & given he works as a conservationist in the
field, he might just be very vigilant or even have personal reasons.

I might make the same statement on occasion when ordering seeds sometimes,
'don't add any spp on the endangered list, from the wild or home gardens"
because in Australia we are no longer allowed to import "registered
endangered species seeds" fron the wild or home garden, of some spp any
more, with out first obtaining an expensive permit, & disclosing lots of
information. Bureaucratic yes! But it is a way to determine the seeds come
from a ligament distributer & it also leaves a paper trail in our fledgling
efforts to track down poachers.

Having spent 12 years in the commercial plant industry, supplying many
nurseries, Woolworths & Coles, I can without any reservations, say that in
my observations, in an operation that collected new plants from around the
world & from growing & distributing hundreds of thousands of plants a year
for those 12 years, that in my opinion & sales numbers, the distribution of
rare & endangered species of plants & seeds to home specialist collectors,
nurseries & home gardeners is by far the fastest way to ensure the survival
of almost any species.

Steven Australia where the rules are always changing : )
