Rimmer, Do you receive snow in winter? I am wondering if they are protected, and kept dry, by a layer of snow. Jane McGary, They would have survived here this winter, so mild. However, last winter was brutal, lows around 5F, ice for over a month, temps not rising above 32F. I requested seed from SX 2 from both Prospero donations, perhaps one will be hardier here? I think, if I do in fact receive some seed, that I will give them winter cover. I have some old windows that I've been wanting to turn into cold frames. There are some areas, under the eves of a shed, that stay a bit drier throughout winter. Maybe they would like it there... -Travis Owen Rogue River, OR http://amateuranthecologist.blogspot.com/
