Hi Travis, The species doesn't really need a lot of root-room. If you transplant your small clump into a larger pot, they will just fill that space. It's good for when you want lots more bulbs. As long as it doesn't freeze the plant should be ok. I usually stop watering when the night time temperature drops below 50F (10C). You can keep it dry for the rest of the season until it warms up again. If you live in a place with a long winter, you might want to water once a month. The idea is to get the leaves to drop but keep the bulbs plump.
