In reply to: Autumn flowering Albuca sp? by Rimmer deVries (/Tue, 14 Oct 2014 12:55:49 PDT/) The SRGC website houses the archive of James C. Archibald : http://srgc.net/site/index.php/… and from the field notes of J.C. Archibald's Trip 30. JCA15500 - 15880 South Africa 12th March - 28th March 1996 - a trip undertaken in the company of Panayoti Kelaidis http://files.srgc.net/archibald/fieldnotes/… - we can see that this Albuca seed under the original collection number 15856 was collected on 25th March 1996. Collection area given under heading of Lesotho / Orange Free State, Drakensburg Mont aux Sources. 3000m No species given at that time. However, from the master Archibald seedlist we can read that "3.005.700 : ALBUCA HUMILIS Lesotho, Drakensberg, Mont-aux-Sources. 3000m. Gravelly cliff-ledges. (5cm.) I think it likely that this is the Albuca species shown by Rimmer. M. Young.
