Thank you very much for your help on this Roland, it seems we must be getting away with murder located within this part of the Boreal forest and nobody working in commercial horticulture for around 90-100 kilometres the spectrum of bugs and related pests haven't got here yet, presumably Pines + Birches don't float their boat. A recent visitor from Germany to see the lily collection has told us they have lost significant amounts of bulbous plants due to so called Spanish slugs - Arion lusitanicus moving rapidly northwards due to climate change replacing their native Arion vulgaris and now hybridising producing aggressive and larger slug called Arion x rufus. Damage, especially to lilies this year is really bad. What effects, if any, are you getting? Regards, Iain
