re Trichoderma, some years ago as I love Gala apples but not Royal Gala ones, and Gala apples get apple scab in Auckland, I faithfully inserted little pegs loaded with Trichoderma seeding stuff ever year and every year it cropped well and little sign of apple scab. It got too tedious and expensive so I stopped using the Trichoderma and promptly apple scab took over. So the tree was removed. For myself I proved Trichoderma worked, but needs repeat applications to keep it going.
