Gladiolus winter or summer?

That's my problem and part of the reason for the request.
I don't have the books.
and
I don't know the Med species by name.

A good resource for African species, with synonymy,  are the
Goldblatt/Manning books.  For the other species in Mediterranean climate
areas winter growing is the usual rule.
