image theft - somewhat off

People in all cultures all over the world understand stealing is wrong. This includes
people in eastern Europe and people from developing countries.

The fact that somebody would go to the trouble of removing the photographer's watermark
and replacing it with their own, pretending the image is their own, proves they
understand they are stealing. If they are willing to steal other people's images and
replace identifying information with their own, they are not going to be honest in
business, either.

All a person has to do is request permission from the original author, who will often
agree. The author's name is clearly shown on the PBS Wiki, along with contact
information for those maintaining the Wiki. If the author refuses permission to use the
image the person needs to find the image somewhere else.
