Hi David, I would say that these are fly larvae (no legs and their general translucence). As hard as I look, I can't find legs, which exclude them from being beetles. All beetles will have six little legs to the front. Flies, wasps, and butterfiles/moths don't have legs, although they may have protuberances called "prolegs".
