Hi Celeste, I have done some research on LED lighting and in my opinion, they are not quite ready for the plant world yet. Most products advertized for plants are from a combination of red and blue spectrum LEDs which lead to a nauseating purple for the human eyes to look at. However, there are some that incorporate all three colors (red, blue, green) and when you turn them all on, you get white. The white is sort of funny because the colors mix a short distance from the LED. They are still expensive, though way cheaper than the LumiBar. I encourage you to look at Elementnal LED ( http://www.elementalled.com/). They have some of the best products on the market and they produce strips that you can cut to fit in the area you need. They also sell waterproof LED strips.
