I would add to what Nhu has said. The name was chosen a while ago and the society has evolved to encompass geophytes from all parts of the globe. Wasn't it an Englishman who said " A rose ....." There are many pros and cons, but basically what it comes down to is the tremendous work that is involved in such a change. We are at our limit with the current work load per volunteer.
