I read some suggestion, this Gadiolus be infected by Virus. Allthough many plants might carry Viruses latently, the color pattern does NOT indicate Mosaic-Virus. The typical SHARP transitions of Mosaic, are absent. The fliowers of your Gladiolus are beautiful, and there is actually some sophisticated Gladiolus Hybrids, that show this beautiful kind of dark streaks. Who ever is fast, to conclude Mosaic, Look for Gladiolus grandiflora 'Passos'rather than implanting frustration, into other people's Heart. > Date: Sun, 14 Oct 2012 22:12:37 +0200 > From: ang.por@alice.it > To: pbs@lists.ibiblio.org > Subject: [pbs] Gladiolus dalenii hybrid > > > Dear friends, > > I have got this presumably old Gladiolus dalenii hybrid, which is rather spread in Northern Italy and thus probably quite cold hardy. The leaves apper in spring like normal gladioli hybrids and the plant developes the usual 6-7 leaves, but it doesn't put any spike till early October. I wonder if anyone know this cultivar. > > http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y176/… > > Angelo Porcelli > Apulia - Southern Italy > _______________________________________________ > pbs mailing list > pbs@lists.ibiblio.org > http://pacificbulbsociety.org/list.php > http://pacificbulbsociety.org/pbswiki/
