It was about 15 years ago but I seem to remember it being somewhere between 5 and 10. The coldroom has a temperature range from -5 to 20 as it is mainly for small crops and is quite large. One day when I go through all the boxes of paperwork I will probably find the details. I imagine the same process would be used for many flowering potted plants. It just halts growing until you want it to resume. We could hold them over for up to 6 months.Shelley Gage Queensland > From: bulborum@gmail.com > Date: Tue, 29 May 2012 09:51:27 +0200 > To: pbs@lists.ibiblio.org > Subject: Re: [pbs] Hippeastrum > > What is the temperature in your coldroom > > Roland > > 2012/5/29 Shelley Gage <s.gage100@hotmail.com> > > > > > Putting the plants in the coldroom until flowering is required allowed us > > to sell hippeastrum plants in flower out of season.Shelley Gage Queensland. > > > > -- > R de Boer > La Maugardiere 1 > F 27260 EPAIGNES > FRANCE > > Phone./Fax 0033-232-576-204 > Email: bulborum@gmail.com > _______________________________________________ > pbs mailing list > pbs@lists.ibiblio.org > http://pacificbulbsociety.org/list.php > http://pacificbulbsociety.org/pbswiki/
