Jim, I'm happy to see your support for the effort to make distinctions, in this case homologous vs. analagous. Would you agree that it is important to discern structures morphologically as well? I think it is important to recognize that there is a useful degree of precision-- limited though it may be-- in defining terms for geophyte rootstocks. Some folks seem to disagree with this idea because no perfect system is possible, or for other reasons.
