Hi Roland & Everyone... I found some photos of mine at last & i think it is Lilium formosanum, i don't think the L. longiflorum have the maroon stripe on the back of the petal & has a thicker, shorter leaf, more like an oriental lily. These grow to 1m tall & have a very long thin leaf, the perfume is gorgeous. Its so exciting when you have something for years & it turned out to be something new ha ha.... http://flickr.com/photos/67167299@N04/… http://flickr.com/photos/67167299@N04/… http://flickr.com/photos/67167299@N04/… Steven : ) Esk Queensland Australia Summer Zone 5 Winter Zone 10 On 16 April 2012 01:15, Bulborum Botanicum <bulborum@gmail.com> wrote: > Steven > > Isn't that Lilium formosanum what grows there as a weed ?? > > Roland > > 2012/4/15 Steven <hartsentwine.australia@gmail.com>: > > Hi everyone... > > To answer your question Shawn.. > > > Not far from my home along the mountain range, Easter lilies have > been a feral pest for over 30 years, they bloomed at Easter as always > > > -- > R de Boer > La Maugardiere 1 > F 27260 EPAIGNES > FRANCE > > Phone./Fax 0033-232-576-204 > Email: bulborum@gmail.com >
