Just out of curiosity given the topic, is anybody trying Rhodophiala x Hippeastrum crosses? ..and also habranthus or Zephyranthes with Hippeastrum. If these are possible it seems like a better way to get more pure yellow strains into Hippeastrum. The yellows in these other genera are much better than what occurs in Hippeastrum. Perhaps a good project for somebody. Many other useful traits could be introduced as well. Tim Chapman
