Like Gladiolus usyiae, the stoloniferous corms are a blessing and a problem, but a problem that can be controlled. Some of the most attractive "peacock" moraeas(M. aristatata, villosa, tulbaghensis) and others put out a one to three inch stolon with corm and spread in that manner. That is one reason that they do better in the ground but can invade adjacent plantings. To control this I put in 4 inch plastic section dividers to keep them in ther pen. Bob Werra
