Jim, I also have Z. Candida, this is definitely the Verecunda, I have been told that it is rarely grown. It is short, only about 3inches tall, the most consistent flowerer. Almost all year it has a flower or two, except for a few months over winter, although it had one flower even then. Z. Candida is much taller, and flowers basically from January until about April here. It is very common, also is sold in all nurseries. As for the Iris, that is quite likely, as it was a small piece which happened to be growing in another plant I bought from the Auckland Botanical Gardens.
