Deer Repellent

I can't speak to deer repelling ability (although a friend uses one for this
purpose in a very limited area) but the motion-activated sprayer is great
for keeping (our) cats out of certain garden areas like sand beds. They put
them right off, without using too much water or damaging water sensitive
plants. Leaving one to cover a large bed for a day puts the cats off for at
least a week or more.

In my experience the only long-term remedy for deer is to install a fence.
I've had mine for 15 years and just last year spent some additional
time/money to strengthen it in a couple places. You also need a gate to
complete the circuit.

One of my customers had great success repelling deer with a motion-activated
water-sprayer, a commercial product made for this purpose. Potentially
entertaining!
