No offense but I'm sure the THOUSANDS of organizations aren't regretting their decision to expand to Facebook! Look at many of the other bulb pages such as Brent and Becky's with 2,000 + fans that are visiting their page and subsequently their businesses site. Think about those 2,000 people networking to their friends, imagine if even a fraction joined PBS and eventually donated bulbs to the BX/SX, whose to say they're collections are as sophisticated as some others? WE DON'T KNOW and we can't shoot something down before trying it! I'm not saying there aren't negatives but a copycat site should be the least of our worries when there could be tons of others that are interested in bulbs (whether Tulip hybrids or Worsleya) that have yet to discover such a site or facebook page. One may disagree with having Facebook for personal reasons and I understand that but to shut the idea down for an organization that only has room to grow doesn't make a lot of sense. Spam can be controlled very easily, we could face spam through our list and a ghost site?
