Ken, this species seems to grow rather fast, but it's very slow to reach flowering size. I have two pretty big plants in the ground from at least 6 years, planted just the size of your plants and never flowered so far, although the fan of leaves is impressive, as well the bulb neck. Boophone disticha 'Port Elizabeth' form of same age have flowered since two years ago and are much smaller plants. Both have coped -3°C several times in these years, with even a light snowfall, totally unscatted.
