My Neomarica caerulea after a second year of extravagant inflorescence (easily over 100 flowers over a 2-month period), produced 3 seed pods. It has never produced seed pods before. They have not yet dehisced, although the pods formed many months ago (there is, of course, the possibility that either they are sterile or that Neomarica pods are indehiscent). I am loath to extract the seeds while the pods are still tightly closed lest I collect them before they are ready. Perhaps one of the members has some experience and can advise about when to collect the seed. David E.
