Andrew:

Plantskydd is dried cow blood. I believe it was originally produced in
Sweden. It comes in several forms: pre-mixed as a liquid to spray on
vegetation, a powder that needs to be mixed with water and then sprayed, or dried
granules to be shaken onto the soil. It's manufacturer claims it is approved
for organic growing and is non-toxic. I have used the spray to successfully
deter deer browsing. This is the first year I am trying the granules,
which I did include in the soil for the bulbs I planted as well as sprinkled on
top.
