I have found that blue mold is not necessarily fatal to bulbs. Maybe it is a surface mold like the kind you find on some cheeses. I do not have experience with Erythronium though. My blue-cheese bulbs were Tigridia that had been in transit in a closed envelope for months. They were a mess, but after I cleaned them off under a high-pressure stream of water and let them dry in the wind and sun for an hour or so, I planted them and they all came up. I suppose Erythronium bulbs are more delicate, but don't give up just because they are blue. Lou
