Romulea monadelpha bloomed for me this weekend, my earliest bulb except for Bulbinella latifolia ssp. doleritica. R. monadelpha is not particularly rare, I don't think, but I was very pleased, because it is the first bulb I've ever flowered from seed (from Silverhill, sown 10/07). Also, I was very gratified at how beautiful it is in real life: both the markings on the back of the tepals, and how satiny the front is: The pictures of this sp. on the wiki are excellent, so I didn't upload mine, but you can see them here if so inclined: http://www.flickr.com/photos/badthings/4361614552/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/badthings/4360874449/ Max Withers Oakland CA
