Back in 2003, I mentioned on the list that I'd just had the first flower
from a hybrid bulb I'd crossed: Gladiolus gracilis x G. priorii. Cathy
Craig suggested that I post a picture to the wiki, but I didn't have a
digital camera at the time, so I never followed through.

In the years since, I thought I had lost the hybrid. But this week there
was a flower in a pot whose tag had been lost, and sure enough it was that
hybrid again. This time I have a digital camera, so I posted a photo to the
wiki. It's at the bottom of the Gladiolus hybrids page:

Gladiolus gracilis is pale blue, and G. priorii is scarlet. Their offspring
has an appealing dark magenta color that's washed through the flower like
watercolor paint. It's a pretty little thing.
