Years ago, before I was so wise :<)), I actually bought some Ranunculus ficaria from a local bulb grower thinking it was winter aconite which I had never seen. I loved the cheerful yellow flowers, and carried a piece of the plant with me every time I moved to a new house. I even planted some on a friend's farm in southern West Virginia. I dread to think what a problem I might have caused. Where I live now, ten or more years ago, there was an occasional clump of it next to the stream. Now it is everywhere! - no, I didn't plant this batch. It is almost frightening. Where do they come from originally? Dell, SE Pennsylvania
