We have a number of yellow Sisyrinchium pictured on the wiki, but they are not native to Texas. This genus has been the subject of much taxonomic confusion and revision. It is the largest genus in the Iris family in the "New World" according to Manning and Goldblatt, The Iris Family. In this book they state conservatively there are 140 species. The Flora of North America recognizes 37 species. There is a key here: http://efloras.org/florataxon.aspx/… Mary Sue
