Bob: I keep my Elephant ears in a cooler environment. I place them in plastic bags and put them in the attic where it gets to 45 F during the coldest winter months. I haven't seen any aphid problems on them at all. The Arum under lights in the basement are a completely different story. I have to spray with soap or some other low toxic spray almost everyday to control them. I have used Murphy's Oil soap its cheap and practically the same thing as the more expensive "horticultural" soaps on the market. One ounce to a quart of water is the mix I use. Arnold New Jersey
