J McK asked: > >Jim, which one are you growing? A friend gave me a piece of A. ramosum >recently, but it is not yet established; I’m not sure what to expect of it. > Dear Friends, I got this plant from Panayoti Kelaidis from the Denver Bot Gard. without a species name attached. Considering the source it could be ANY species. I've donated seed to the exchange a couple of times just as sp.. From Mark McD's pix http://pacificbulbsociety.org/pbswiki/index.php/… I suspect it is ramosum, but when I try to key it out , they all look kind of alike. Oddly they grow readily from seed, but I have never had a self sown seedling from the many MANY seeds dropped in the area. I like it a lot, but it doesn't seem to thrill many folks. Right now it is one of the best blooming plants in the garden. Dozens of flowers at once and dazzling white in summer sun. Best Jim W. -- Dr. James W. Waddick 8871 NW Brostrom Rd.
