Dear all, Mary Sue raised this issue, following my suggestion that Alan Meerow's revision should be followed. I still hold to the view, as Alan is clearly the authority in New World Amaryllidaceae today and his view is supported by Kew. Sadly, I am away from home at present, so cannot cite the title etc of the paper, but to answer one apparent doubt, it certainly was published. To answer one other point, whilst APGII suggests that Alliaceae should include Amaryllidaceae and Agapanthaceae, it does allow for the three to be considered separately. best regards, David Victor
