Should be fine for Disa uniflora on Table mountain, and other orchids. To: "Pacific Bulb Society" <pbs@lists.ibiblio.org> Date: Saturday, 7 February, 2009, 6:26 PM A couple of years ago I spent September admiring flowers in the western part of South Africa. Fantastic. Next month we are taking our grandchildren to Namibia and then South Africa from Cape Town along the south coast to the elephant park near Port Elizabeth. I don't expect to see many flowers. We will visit Kirstenbosch of course - the kids will like watching the guinea fowl while I look at flowers. When we were in Nieuwoudtville before, we were unable to visit Glenlyon as the MacGregor bus was fully booked. The farm was made into a botanic garden last summer, so there will be no problem gaining entrance. Are there likely to be enough flowers in bloom in March to justify a special trip up there?
