Dear Mary Sue et al, >>>Van der Merwe ) J.C.Manning & Goldblatt Edinburgh J. Bot. 60(3): 561 (2003 publ. 14 April 2004). Kew lists this species as native from Mpumalanga to KwaZulu-Natal so it would be from a summer rainfall area. I'd assume it would be dormant in winter and grow in summer. Rogan are you familiar with this plant and can you help Justin with cultivation information?<<< Unfortunately I'm no expert in these genera (I'm the IT guy...) and the only expert we had emigrated to Australia a year ago! However, my limited powers of recollection seem to indicate that Drimia, Drimiopsis and Resnova (...all species?) had been dumped into Ledebouria. I can only refer you to Penrock Seeds's newsletters (links below) which discuss some of these plants in greater detail and include some notes on cultivation - perhaps someone there could enlighten you: http://www.penroc.co.za/news.html http://www.penroc.co.za/newsletters/0305/0305.html Regards Rogan.
