Jacob, I was just following on from John Grimshaw's description of plants he has seen growing wild in places like Mt. Kenya and Ethiopia. I decided to see if I could find which botanic gardens hold collections of tropical gladiolus. I did a plant search on the BGCI site: (Botanic Gardens Conservation International) http://www.bgci.org/worldwide/home/ They do not reveal where the plants are, in the interests of plant protection, but give you a chance to email a request for information.
