Joe, I'm pretty sure some bulbs are already being grown commercially in India. I've bought packages of Scadoxus multiflorus and Zephyranthes grandiflora labeled "grown in India" and I think Gloriosa is also grown. When I was in Bangalore, I was told about a local company which raised glads and other ornamentals for the cut flower market. Do you know about the program the Mennonites have which allows American subscribers to buy a farm animal for third world families? For instance, you can buy a chicken, a goat, a cow and so on. That was the first thing I thought of when I read about your plan. Why didn't I think of this! What a great idea. Please keep us updated as it develops.
