Joe, I'm pretty sure some bulbs are already being grown commercially in
India.

I've bought packages of Scadoxus multiflorus and Zephyranthes grandiflora
labeled "grown in India" and I think Gloriosa is also grown.

When I was in Bangalore, I was told about a local company which raised glads
and other ornamentals for the cut flower market.

Do you know about the program the Mennonites have which allows American
subscribers to buy a farm animal for third world families? For instance, you
can buy a chicken, a goat, a cow and so on. That was the first thing I
thought of when I read about your plan.

Why didn't I think of this! What a great idea. Please keep us updated as it
develops.
