Dear Terry, One of the presentations at the IBSA symposium in South Africa in August was given by Robyn MacKenzie. She is hybridizing Eucomis. I found her presentation quite interesting as she talked about what she was trying to breed for and the steps along the way. I don't know if she's to the stage of selling anything, much less importing it. It was one of those talks that although I enjoyed it I didn't try to remember a lot about since I have very poor results with Eucomis in general in my dry summer garden. Or maybe I don't have enough heat. Regardless, I have leaves, but only occasionally flowers. I found a listing for her nursery on Google (she wasn't listed with an address in our delegates list.) There is no email address listed, but you could try writing to her to see if any of the plants she was hybridizing have made it into cultivation and out of South Africa.
