We had a discussion a year or so ago about the scent of paperwhites, and which ones actually smelled nice. I never did find out, but I am growing some seeds from the Bulb Baron, so maybe I will produce my own. The 40 families who grow more than 40 kinds of narcissi for cutflowers on the Isles of Scilly off Cornwall in England invited three "Noses" to sniff their flowers and write the sort of description that usually only wines and perfumes get. I checked their website, hoping to find 40 descriptions, but it seems they keep the site updated according to the season, which is just about to end. There are three descriptions only: of Paper White, Soleil D'Or and Hugh Town. You can read them here: http://www.scentednarcissi.co.uk/aboutus.htm Diane Whitehead
