Bulbs that hold up to stormy weather

I agree with Carolyn that Muscari can withstand wind and wet.  They 
are sturdy, not too tall, the petals are thick, and the flowers point 
down so they don't fill with rain.  There's lots of choices of them, 
too.

However, I have never lived in a place with as much rain as Mary Sue 
reported except for the year I spent on the island of Borneo where we 
had a deluge every afternoon.
