Jim I grew Muscari armeniacum ' Saffier ' in a previous garden and it bore racemes of florets that remained closed-- an oddity of curiosity value only. I don't recall the source, as it was about 15 years ago. There are so many good muscari that are worth growing-- ' Baby's Beath ', ' Valery Finnis ' , macroparpum, muscarimi, azureum, pseudomuscari (chalusicum), latifolium among others - that I didn't bother moving it to a new garden.
