Here we go again. Some of you may be interested in submitting comments on this latest USDA/APHIS proposal to restrict plant imports into the U.S. They want to create what is known as a white list similar to what Australia and New Zealand use. In the text of the proposal it states that it applies to all parts of a plant, including seeds, that may be used to propagate a plant after importation into the U.S. If you want to see the full text of the proposal, go to <http://www.jlhudsonseeds.net/DocketNo03-069-1.htm> where the site owner has highlighted especially egregious portions of the proposal in red. To submit your own comments, go to <http://www.epa.gov/feddocket/>, select item 2 "View Open APHIS Dockets". Then it's the third item down, 03-069-1 APHIS-2004-0024, innocuously titled "Nursery Stock Regulations".
