Hi ,
I have found Scilla peruviana by my travels in Spain 1999 in June in
Andalusia , near Grazalema. The plants growing in open maccia on slopes in
sun , the altitude was 1100m , the ground was calky , in this area also
growing Helleborus foeditus and Paeonia broteroi . I have collected 2 or 3
plants for me - these growing since this time happy in my garden in full sun
, I have the same expierience like Alberto Grossi with the temperatures ,
until - 10°C is not a problem , they flowering well in my climate ( 7a ) -
but never I get seeds .
Greetings
Hans

Scilla peruviana grows with as much sun as you are able to give it to see
blooming. About temperature frost can damage new growth, but my bulbs live
where in winter temperature usually drop to - 10°C (14°F) and they survived
when we had -20°C (-4°F).
Ciao.
