Diane, There is a clivia chat group that has probably tried to answer this question on several occassions. Some purport that they have successfully propogated clivia from root cuttings. I am very sceptical and do not believe it. I only just recently had a very large root ball from a clivia that I broke up and yet no growth from this mass of plant material. The root ball was from a very robust green centred almost terracotta flower (I find these types to pup like crazy) and this still hasn't helped. Maybe I am a non believer and I haven't lived and loved long enough so there might be somebody with more experience who can help with a method for you. On the clivia note imagine how happy I was today when a guaranteed Chubb's Peach has flowered yellow that I have been growing for a very long time. My Wittig Pinks had better be pink or you will here about a crazed Australian on a clivia rampage.
