Jim, I can highly recommend X Chionoscilla allenii, the hybrid between C. forbesii and Scilla bifolia. In its best forms (these species cross quite readily), it is a beautiful plant, with rich, relatively large violet-blue flowers, in the mode of C. forbesii but deeper in hue. The hybrid is sterile, and I have never seen seeds of the cross offered.
