Jim,

I can highly recommend X Chionoscilla allenii, the hybrid between C. 
forbesii and Scilla bifolia.  In its best forms (these species cross quite 
readily), it is a beautiful plant, with rich, relatively large violet-blue 
flowers, in the mode of C. forbesii but deeper in hue.  The hybrid is 
sterile, and I have never seen seeds of the cross offered.
