Mary Sue, Here in Oz, when I decided to try some of my bulbs in the ground that I didn't want to lose track of, I purchased some plastic buckets, much like peg baskets but different shapes. I went to a $2.00 dollar shop and hunted around in a few places that specialised in plastic. I eventually found what I wanted and got them to order some larger sizes for me. I now have three sizes to choose from, depending on the size and quantity of bulbs being planted. Of course, I don't have the problem here with animals, only blackbirds that like to scratch in the soil and pull bulbs out of the ground. regards, Bill Richardson Gippsland Australia 0-15c.
