Thank you, Alberto, for clarifying the climatic preferences of Tecophilaea. I will move T. violiflora to a different frame where it will get more summer water. I have never tried growing Geissorhiza here so don't know what would suit it. I rarely plant South African bulbs because I find it a bit too cold for them in the frames, but perhaps I should try more. (Where would I put them? I just filled up another new frame!) I did not know Gilliesia species were rare in the wild. I will have more respect for the one I grew from Watson's seed, despite its appearance. Next year I'll see if they increase vegetatively.
